Tokyo Trip 2010- Shibuya

Higashi Ginza(東銀座駅)-Ebisu (恵比寿駅)-Shibuya (渋谷駅)on the Hibiya line(日比谷線

I think the 1st time for most of us who knows this place is the famous 109 shopping building and the "loyal dog, Hachiko" statue.
So of course when you reach the Shibuya station, look for the sign that takes you to the statue where you will reach the main junction of all the shopping malls which they sells clothing and shoes of Japan local designer and some from South Korea.
One thing for sure is that you might want to be amazed by another type of view which is to stand next to the cross road junction and start counting the numbers of people walking across.

Tokyo Trip 2010- Akihabara

Higashi Ginza(東銀座駅)-Akihabara秋葉原駅 on the Hibiya line(日比谷線)
That night we had our first dinner at Akihabaraat this random YAKITORI resturant.
We orer the a Clams soup, Sashimi mix, Pork Yakitori, Shitakae Mushroom ,grilled chicken and a bowl of salmon porridge

Walk around this big electronic shopping district. Saw the big MUJI and UNIQULO. This place is like heaven for those 宅男,宅女, with all the games , figurines and cute soft toy from the Anime and Gameplay. :)

Lastly,we went to this very delicious and famous SOBA resturant. When you walk in, the おばさんsinging out the orders is so cute and the place is so nostalgic feeling, tatami platforms and wooden walls dining room.
This place is not easy to locate, so advice is that when you reach AKihabara station, transfer to the Marunouchi line and ride to Awajicho station but if you feel like a walk then you can try to find your way like us with the help of those maps found on every street junction.

Tokyo Trip 2010- Ginza

After a long walk from the wrong station (Shimbashi Ginza instead of Ginza Station)we finally found our hotel in Ginza

Ginza a upmarket shopping area where you can find most of the branded boutiques from Channel; Prada; Hermes and to the big Japan Mitsuikoshi Shopping mall...
those boutiques are all in 1 single building on its own.
The road right in between 2 long stretch of boutiques is closed during the weekend and public holidays, which you can see chairs and umbrella setup for you if you feel like a short rest and enjoy a differnet beautiful view of this uptown shopping district.

Arrival at Tokyo Narita Airport 成田空港.
The 1st thing came to my mind would be bus or train to city?

Narita Express
East Japan Railway (JR-EAST)
60 min. 2,940 yen non-stop to Tokyo Station.
Some trains go to Shinjuku, Ikebukuro, and Yokohama.

Note: You can only ride the Narita express according to the time slot which you have booked/puchased on your ticket and if you missed it.... Sorry, you will have to go out and purchase another time slot.

Yokoso Japan website

We went ahead with the time saving Narita Express which will bring us to Tokyo station and from there to our hotel at Ginza station. The ticket counte is located at the basement near to the entrance of the train, booked our Narita express ticket for the ride to Ginza station and also the return ticket. Lastly bought our 1st Suica card.
Note: (Suica card/Passmo card is something similar to our SGP ezlink card and HKG octupus card which you can top up with cash anytime,it can be use for most of the major train and bus lines operating in Tokyo. unless your trip is shorter then you might consider buying their day passes which has unlimited trips)
